Reasons a woman may not be able to breastfeed

The mother has diabetes

The mother is HIV positive

If you are infected with HIV and you are pregnant then it is not advisable to breastfeed your baby. The infection can spread to the baby and cause some serious diseases.

There are some women who have low immunity

Some women are facing low immunity during pregnancy and it is not safe for them to breastfeed their babies.

The mother is a smoker

Smoking affects the health of the mother and it is not recommended to smoke while you are breastfeeding.

The mother is sick

If you are sick and are pregnant then you should avoid breastfeeding your baby. It is not safe for the baby and you too.

The mother has gone through a caesarean section

If you had a cesarean section then it is not safe for you to breastfeed your baby. You can get some infections in the wound and it will affect your immunity.
